Where you'll find me

lindseytheresa

So, I always have more ideas and projects than time, and that seems to be especially the case in March! Here is where you can hear me/see me/catch some of my work this month! In addition to on my Instagram reels and with my butt in my writing chair (of course).

Tuesday, March 5 - 4 p.m. on YouTube - O.C. Publishing's The Author Journey

I'll be one of the guests on the Author's Journey Livestream--talking about the awful hilarious PERIOD PIECES Anthology which I have two works in (more info on the live and virtual book launch below!).

The last time I was on the Author's Journey I told a story about transporting a container of semen in my armpit, so I'm excited to see what TMI I blurt out during this chat.

Thursday, March 7 - 7 p.m., Dart Gallery - dART speak - aka my favorite night of the month!

If you've never joined us, dART Speak is a welcoming community of writers of all genres sharing their words (you are also welcome to come and just listen). If you want to read a five-minute piece, be sure to come sign up early for this PWYC event.

The venue's front door is accessible though there are three steps up to the washroom.

Thursday, March 14 - 7:30-9:15 p.m., Venus Envy - awfully hilarious PERIOD PIECES - East Coast Launch

Join me and Anne O'Connell for the East Coast Launch of awfully hilarious PERIOD PIECES! It's an anthology of poems, short stories, and essays that tackle social taboos by talking openly about them.

The evening will start with a live and livestreamed reading and Q&A from [7:45-8:15] (registration required), followed by a drop-in book sale and signing [ 8:15-9:15].  There will be a period product drive, uterus cookies (packaged to go), and perhaps a few other surprises.

Thursday, March 21 - 2 - 7 p.m., Propeller Taproom - the WFNS Writers' Rumble

I am honoured to be one of twelve local authors asked to rumble this year! The two teams will compete to “chain-write” two short stories, each author writing up to 300 words before passing on the keyboard.

Hosted at Propeller Brewing Co. (2015 Gottingen St., Halifax), the event will include both the public writing rumble (2:00pm to 6:30pm) and a reading of the competing stories (6:45pm). The event is free to attend, with in-person donations accepted.

Sponsorships of individual rumblers are accepted until the event concludes. I am writing a custom poem for anyone who sponsors me! Donate here!

Sunday March 24 - 12 - 2 @ the Dart Gallery - Typewriter Meetup

Do you have a typewriter? Love typewriters? Come to this casual meetup/writing event. Anyone is welcome to come, with or without a typewriter. We'll set up in the Dart Gallery's Red Room and spend a couple of hours writing and chatting from 12-2.

Coffee, tea, and other beverages (alcoholic and non) are available for purchase.

The venue's front door is accessible though there are three steps up to the washroom.

Hope to see you around now that you know where to find me :)
